Huge congratulations to our incredible elementary students who showcased their science fair projects at the Lake County Schools Science and Engineering Fair today! Their curiosity, creativity, and hard work were on full display, and we are so proud of the innovation they brought to this year’s competition. A big thank‑you to the judges, teachers, and families who supported these young scientists along the way. 👉 Next up: Middle and high school projects on Friday. We can’t wait to see what our older students have in store!

Celebrate Literacy Week is an annual statewide initiative from the Florida Department of Education to promote reading by encouraging students and families to make literacy a joyful daily habit. This week includes daily dress up days, guest readers, and fun events that will highlight the importance of reading. The theme this year is Read, White, and Blue: Celebrating 250 Chapters of America. The National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest is now open for submissions! This year's theme is "Safe Rides, Everyday Heroes." We encourage students to think about what safety means to them and how they view bus drivers and community members as everyday heroes who help ensure they get to school safely. Posters should be submitted to the department's School Transportation Management Section by April 17, 2026.
